As the WELDERS are finished, it’s now time for the final blast. This is to knock the millscale off the new metal and remove any rust that has formed on the parts that were blasted before. This should be a much quicker process as the new rust is minimal compared to the thick scale we found when it was hauled out of the water.
Straight after the blast, the first layer of proper paint is going on. This is a thick undercoat which Led has described as “like rubber”. I guess that’s a good thing…
